The roughness exponent ζ is 0.6325±0.0007 for the two-dimensional case and ζ=0.555±0.008 for the three-dimensional one, in agreement with the recent conjecture ζ=ν⊥/ν∥, where ν⊥ and ν∥ are the correlation length exponents of directed percolation. Exactly solvable examples are also analyzed. date: 1996-03 date_type: published publication: Physical Review E volume: 53 number: 3 publisher: American Physical Society pagerange: R2029-R2032 id_number: 10.1103/PhysRevE.53.R2029 refereed: TRUE issn: 1539-3755 official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevE.53.R2029 citation: Rios, Paolo and Caldarelli, Guido and Maritan, Amos and Seno, Flavio Optimal path and directed percolation.
