We find that an unconstrained allocation and growth of the distributed generation can drive a power grid beyond its design parameters. In order to overcome such a problem, we propose a topological algorithm derived from the field of Complex Networks to allocate distributed generation sources in an existing power grid. %L eprints1903 %A Antonio Scala %A Mario Mureddu %A Alessandro Chessa %A Guido Caldarelli %A Alfonso Damiano %R 10.1007/978-3-642-41485-5_7 %N 7722 %S Lecture Notes in Computer Science %D 2013 %K Distributed generation; AC power model; complex networks; pagerank %O 7th International Workshop, CRITIS 2012, Lillehammer, Norway, September 17-18, 2012.
