Notably, the underlying system of ordinary differential equations exhibits discontinuities in the right-hand sides, which however are proven to yield a meaningful solution. A substantial numerical assessment is used to study the quality of the approximation and shows very good accuracy in networks with large job populations. date: 2012 publisher: ACM pagerange: 45-56 id_number: doi:10.1145/2188286.2188296 refereed: TRUE isbn: 978-1-4503-1202-8 book_title: Proceedings of the third joint WOSP/SIPEW international conference on Performance Engineering - ICPE '12 official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1145/2188286.2188296 citation: Bortolussi, Luca and Tribastone, Mirco Fluid limits of queueing networks with batches.
