Spatial logics have been proposed as the formal device for expressing spatial properties of systems. We define CCS∥, a CCS-like calculus whose semantics allows one to observe spatial aspects of systems on the top of which we define models of the spatial logic. Our alternative definition of models is proved equivalent to the standard one. Furthermore, logical equivalence is characterized in terms of the bisimilarity of CCS∥. date: 2006-01 date_type: published publication: Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science volume: 142 publisher: Elsevier pagerange: 229-254 id_number: 10.1016/j.entcs.2004.10.028 refereed: TRUE issn: 1571-0661 official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.entcs.2004.10.028 projects: EU project FET IST-2001-33100 Profundis citation: Tuosto, Emilio and Torres Vieira, Hugo An observational model for spatial logics.
