In this paper, we consider probabilistic observables to define an observational semantics for a probabilistic process calculus. The resulting pre-congruence is proven to coincide with a probabilistic may preorder, which, in turn, corresponds to a natural probabilistic extension of the may testing preorder of De Nicola and Hennessy. date: 2007 date_type: published publisher: IEEE Computer Society pagerange: 189-200 id_number: 10.1109/QEST.2007.19 refereed: TRUE isbn: 0-7695-2883-X book_title: Fourth International Conference on the Quantitative Evaluation of Systems (QEST 2007) official_url: http://doi.ieeecomputersociety.org/10.1109/QEST.2007.19 citation: Palmeri, Maria Carla and De Nicola, Rocco and Massink, Mieke Basic Observables for Probabilistic May Testing.
