%X The article examines the Italian legal regime in the field of lending and exporting movable cultural property. This sector is governed not only by EU and national legislation, but also by transnational norms, principles, and best practices. The analysis highlights that the current Italian system should be reformed in order to enhance cultural property through new mechanisms of lending. This may ensure more incomes to the cultural institutions and it may also contribute to cultural heritage protection.
