We show that the dynamic behavior of the vehicle can be easily approximated and captured by the hybrid model, and through simulations on standard speed patterns that a good closed loop performance can be achieved. The synthesized control law can be implemented on automotive hardware as a piecewise affine function of the measured and estimated quantities. date: 2003 date_type: published series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science publication: Hybrid Systems: Computation and Control volume: 2623 publisher: Springer-Verlag pagerange: 81-96 id_number: 10.1007/3-540-36580-X_9 refereed: TRUE isbn: 978-3-540-00913-9 book_title: Hybrid Systems: Computation and Control editors_name: Maler, Oded editors_name: Pnueli, Amir official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/3-540-36580-X_9 citation: Bemporad, Alberto and Borodani, Pandeli and Mannelli, Massimo Hybrid control of an automotive robotized gearbox for reduction of consumptions and emissions.
