Abstract
The article analyses in details the passage of the european integration history after the failure of European Defence Community. How did the ECSC mamber states react? After answering to this question the article focus on the italian answer. In particular it presents the reaction our diplomacy had in the major european countries and the government and parliamentary reaction within our boundaries.
