This essay is devoted to describe the Spanish political debate during the first democratic legislation on the european integration process. In particular it analyses the debate held in the low Chamber, the several reports delivered by the Foreign Affairs Commission and the General Parliamentary Debate. It describes the position mantained by UCD, AP, PCE, PSOE and the major regional party PNV and CiU.
