This book analyses the latest years of the Franco regime and in particular it describes the different projects spread inside the country among the political families who collaborates with the regime. Falangist from one side and Catholic on the other presented many political project of reform in order to cope with the inevitable end of the Franco regime. They designed some hypotesis of reform for the role to be played by the successor of Franco, the rule to be followed for the process of succession itself, the person to be appointed. The way to mantain unchanged the institutional laws, the way to insert the country in the economic international enviroment, the countries towards which strengthen the bilateral international relations in order to overcome the regime isolation, and how to cope with the supranational and international organization such as EEC and NATO. The several proposals made in the latest years of the regime had a great impact even during the following period. The book then describes which reform proposal were being implemented, how they were reshaped and updated after Franco death and how they were melted with the project coming from the oldest antifrancoist platform.
