Abstract
In this article the Author develops some consideration about the particular branch of the German Contemporary History that is called Zeitgeschichte, literally “history of the present time”. She startes from a recent debate among some German historians about the relation between the Zeitgeschichte and the social sciences, as methodological problem, and from some publications about the history of the German Culture since 1945 until today.
