Abstract
The article deals with the 2014 Reform of the Italian Ministry for Culture and Tourism, which has triggered controversial responses from scholars, media and public opinion. Moving from the actual legal and institutional context, the author aims at demonstrating the weaknesses of the main critiques formulated against the reform. This will allow him to address the main problems that still affect the Ministry and to illustrate the next steps that must be taken in order to help and improve the reformation process.
